About this Event

We will hold the 2024 NCS National Forum at the Glasgow Science Centre and online on 7 October.

Find easy read information on the Forum on gov.scot.

Each year the Forum welcomes people with an interest in social care support, social work, and community health.

The event is open to anyone with experience or views they’d like to share, including:

  • people with experience of accessing or delivering services
  • workforce
  • unpaid carers
  • charities and other stakeholder organisations

This year we will hear about the latest developments of the National Care Service programme and National Care Service (Scotland) Bill. People can also join discussions, share views on the progress so far and look ahead to what’s next.

We are developing the full agenda, and we will send it to delegates ahead of the event.

For the safety and wellbeing of others, please do not come to this event if you are feeling unwell.

We have separate tickets for members of the public and representatives of organisation. This helps us manage capacity and monitor attendance.

If you cannot attend in person, you can register to attend online. When registering to take part online, there are two options:

1. You can register to watch speeches on YouTube in real time only. If you choose this option, we will send you a link to a YouTube stream ahead of the event

2. You can register to watch the speeches in real time and to take part in online group discussions. This option means you will be able to join breakout groups to speak with other online participants and use the chat function. If you choose this option, we will send you a Zoom link ahead of the event

Travel and expenses

The Glasgow Science Centre has been chosen as an accessible venue with excellent transport links and parking.
