JOIN SEMA HADITHI FOUNDATION FOR OUR 2ND ANNUAL NATIONAL BUFFALO SOLDIERS DAY COMMEMORATION
In 1992, the United States Congress passed a law designating July 28th as Buffalo Soldiers Day. Since then, commemorations honoring the Buffalo Soldiers have been held throughout the United States. This day commemorates the formation of the first regular Army regiments comprising African American soldiers in 1866.
Did you know that Buffalo Soldiers were stationed in Utah? Not only were they stationed here but TWO units were assigned here: 24th Infantry and 9th Calvary.
