About this Event
Around the Town Trolley Tour - This tour features some of the city’s most treasured historic gems and cultural sites from various periods in the city’s Black history. Art Galleries, Historic Homes and Neighborhoods, Educational Institutions, African American Churches, Gardens and more! End with lunch and wine tasting of North Carolina NBTF commemorative wines!
Wed – Fri, August 3-5, 9:30 am – 1:00 pm – $85
Triad HBCU Tour – Tour the Triad’s region’s three historically Black Colleges/Universities (HBCU): Winston-Salem State University, NC A&T State University and Bennett College in Greensboro. Following, we’ll stop the Magnolia House, a Green Book Hotel for a tour and enjoy a signature box lunch in this historic house!
August 3rd only, 9 am – 1 pm – $95
International Civil Rights Museum Tour – The museum that features the original lunch counter and stools where the Greensboro Four began their “sit-in” protest on Feb. 1, 1960. Experience a moment in time that changed the nation. Following, we’ll stop the Magnolia House, a Green Book Hotel for a tour and enjoy a signature box lunch in this historic house! Short 30 minute ride to Greensboro.
August 5th only, 9 am – 1 pm – $95
These tours include the following:
- Deboarding the bus at various stops
- Walking on uneven pavement and hill/incline
- Climbing stairs
- Standing for periods of time, inside and outside in the heat
In the case of rain, itinerary will be altered
Covid protocols will be in place based on the CDC guidelines at the time of the tours
