Boy, the time sure flies! Can you believe it has been TEN ENTIRE YEARS of my Big Gay Christmas Social?! No, neither can I! Somehow, we've managed to make it a whole decade of festive foolishness, questionable Christmas sweaters, and some pretty incredible memories!
This year, we'll once again be hosted at Q Nightclub and Lounge! This place, and the community that surrounds it, have become a second home to me over the last few years, and I couldn't imagine celebrating this milestone without them!
Having been closed for a while due to circumstances beyond their control, let's show Q and the community centre some extra love this year! Support the bar, enjoy a drink (or three!), and for the love of all things festive, TIP YOUR BARTENDERS! They're the ones keeping our Christmas spirits flowing, after all!
As always, I'm asking everyone to bring a HOMEMADE decoration for our big gay Christmas tree! I've been holding onto all the incredible, hilarious, beautiful, and occasionally questionable decorations you've made over the years, and this year, for our TENTH anniversary, I'm breaking out the whole collection! That's right, TEN YEARS of homemade Christmas masterpieces, all coming together on one fabulously festive tree! And of course, we'll be adding this year's creations to the collection!
A quick reminder: This is NOT a private event, although Q Nightclub is a Private Members Club! If you don't have a membership, you can purchase one at the bar, or just come grab me and I'll happily sign you in for the night!
Ugly Christmas sweaters? Absolutely encouraged. Festive nonsense? Practically mandatory. And don't forget that HOMEMADE decoration for our big gay Christmas tree!
As always, this is a come-and-go-as-you-please kind of gathering. Pop by for a quick hello, stay for the whole evening, or accidentally spend six hours chatting with someone you haven't seen since last Christmas. It's all part of the tradition!
