nat raum presents "journal of various worries" in conversation with Dallas Atlas

In this hybrid collection of linked prose poems, nat raum pulls back the curtain on their queerness, disabilities, past trauma, and overarching psyche.
As an exploration of the human condition, journal of various worries also serves as a ritual of sorts for raum, with each piece anchored in their distinct confessional voice. A refrain of “dear diary” permeates the collection, blurring the lines between personal and performance—a duality that has continued to recur throughout raum’s expansive multidisciplinary creative career, and a testament to Richard Hugo’s assertion that “all good serious poems are born in obsession.”
