Join Nashville Opera for the world premiere of Shawn E. Okpebholo and Mark Campbell's THE COOK-OFF and, as the appetizer for this delicious double bill, Lee Hoiby's BON APPÉTIT!The Noah Liff Opera Center Studio will be transformed into the tastiest venue in Nashville as the world of cooking shows mixes and mingles with two modern operas.
In BON APPÉTIT, an episode of Julia Child's The French Chef in which she bakes Le Gâteau au Chocolat l'Éminence Brune comes alive as Emily Pulley (seen in the 2023 production of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE) sings the role of America's favorite French chef.
In the premiere of THE COOK-OFF, the heat is on as three contestants vie to make the perfect mac and cheese, each with their own approach and personal narrative powering the story. Only one can win and reign supreme as the best of America's favorite side dish.
