Nashville Helping Nashville 2: An All-Star Musical Benefit
About this Event

NASHVILLE HELPING NASHVILLE 2

When Heavy Pedal Productions created “Nashville Helping Nashville” (NHN) in April of 2021, it was to help Music Venue Alliance Nashville (MVAN) respond to the threat of losing the historic Exit/In after out-of-state hotel developers purchased the property. It was also intended to provide financial support to other local venues that were ravaged by a near complete shutdown of live music in 2020. The goal was to unite our city’s independent live music infrastructure and rally it to Exit/In’s defense while also helping support our struggling venues.

And with the help of Rhizome Productions, that’s exactly what NHN did. For the first time in Nashville’s history, an event brought fifteen independent live music venues, all five local independent radio stations, and artists and fans together for one cause - last year’s wildly successful Memorial Day weekend “Nashville Helping Nashville” benefit concert at beautiful East Park in Nashville.

However, as the pandemic continued into its second year, we saw our local independent live music venues struggle financially yet again. Not only did the waves of cancellations, reduced bookings, and attendance continue, we also saw the future of yet another iconic club put into doubt by developers. This time, it’s our beloved Cannery Ballroom, Mercy Lounge and, High Watt.

In response, Heavy Pedal Productions and Rhizome Productions will soon announce “Nashville Helping Nashville 2” (NHN2) to again unite the community and raise funds to help support our local venues and MVAN. This one-day event will once again be held in beautiful East Park in the East Nashville Neighborhood of Nashville, TN on Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend.

And just like last year, NHN will have a star-studded all-star tribute at the top of the bill as the main event – this time honoring Neil Young. Gates will open on Saturday, May 28th at 2 pm with some Nashville’s favorite bands performing beginning at 3 pm until the headlining Neil Young tribute.

In addition to our goal of including locally owned independent record stores, MVAN will also be recognizing and awarding their first winner of MVAN’s 2021 “Most Valuable Partner” for their support for local independent live music venues over the past year. As this year’s winner they will also present MVAN’s first “Lifetime Most Valuable Partner” for supporting local live independent music venues over their career here in Nashville.

On Friday, March 4th at 12pm CT we expect to announce the show live on-air on WMOT, WRLT, WXNA, WNXP, and WSM and have early bird tickets on sale via www.nashvillehelpingnashville.com.

100% of all profits from this event will be donated to Music Venue Alliance Nashville.

Early Bird Tickets are $25 and General Admission are $35. Kids 10 and under are free at the gates!
