As we gear up for the second Total Lunar Eclipse visible in North America this year, students will learn all about the moon phases, why lunar and solar eclipses occur, and how they can make their own scientific observations of the Nov. 8th lunar eclipse. Students will also create their own stop motion animation film themed around the mysteries of the moon, and earn their final “Astronomy” badge.
PASOFinders is a NASA funded program at Fab Lab El Paso. It is a play on the Spanish word el paso meaning the path. A pathfinder is someone who discovers the unknown. We will engage diverse border community, highlighting the cultural heritage of El Paso, Texas and its importance as the world’s largest binational borderplex. In doing so, we hope to empower the next generation of pioneers to explore the final frontier of space. Fab Lab is designated as an official NASA Community Anchor Site.
