Narrow Neck Rockpool Exploration
About this Event
Join us for a FREE guided rock pooling experience with Mountains to Sea. Come and learn about the amazing world that exists within rockpools and some of the native species that call the rocky reef tidal zone home!
This event provides a taster into rock pooling, rocky shore ecology, and an introduction to iNaturalist. Conditions permitting - we will run with light rain. Backup date if the weather is bad - Thursday, 16th July (you will be contacted).
Mountains to Sea runs a series of free and subsidised events over the summer months - we rely on your support to make them happen. We appreciate donations, either cash/eftpos on the day, online or by giving a koha of your time volunteering at a future event.
Suitable for ages 5+. Children under 15 need adult supervision at all times.
Please note there will be uneven ground, walking over rocks and balancing. We can accommodate those who are unable to traverse over the rocks by bringing the rock pool critters to you! Please email if this option is required.
This event is funded thanks to Auckland Council.
