Telford Steam Railway is pleased to announce our first ever Narrow Gauge Gala, including a Visiting Steam Loco !
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Telford Horsehay Steam Trust, we are hosting three locomotives : Steam Tram 'Thomas Telford', Ruston No. 229633 & Visiting Loco Alan Keef No.30 'Taffy'.
The gala consists of two events :
Saturday 6th June - Photo Charter
Sunday 7th June - Gala Running Day
Taffy will be joining us as the first visiting steam loco ever on the Telford Town Tramway. As the steam tram was partly constructed by Alan Keef Ltd, it'll be a special occasion to see two Alan Keef vertical boiler engines together.
This event will mark Ruston 20DL No. 229633’s return to service and its first public trains in preservation. The Ruston will be out with the demonstration freight set, along with an exclusive chance to see it on passenger duties.
