Karin Kakun – West Coast Swing Dancer | Instructor | Choreographer
With a university degree in dance and over 14 years of teaching experience, Karin Kakun is a leading figure in the West Coast Swing scene. Her background includes Hip-Hop, Stretching, Pole Dance, and competitive Latin dance—she was also the Israeli Salsa Champion before discovering West Coast Swing in 2014.
Karin made history as the first Israeli to reach the Champion division and now leads a thriving West Coast Swing community in Israel. In 2024, she opened her own dance studio in Tel Aviv and continues to teach and perform internationally across Europe.
Valerio La Pietra – West Coast Swing Dancer | Instructor | Choreographer
Valerio La Pietra is a professional dancer known for his strong technique, musicality, and refined partner connection in West Coast Swing. Before fully dedicating himself to WCS, he spent nearly 30 years in Latin American dances, achieving top-level international results and ranking among the world’s top 20 dancers.
Driven by passion and precision, Valerio transitioned to West Coast Swing, where he quickly gained recognition in both competition and teaching. He now competes in the All-Star division and teaches internationally, bringing a versatile, professional, and quality-focused approach to every class. 🎶🔥
Dina Pop - Dancer | Instructor | Choreographer
Began dancing at age 8 and has been teaching and choreographing since 1998. Trained in classical and ballroom dance, she later discovered West Coast Swing in the U.S. and brought it to Romania. She founded Napoca Westies Dance School in Cluj-Napoca and created the Napoca Swing Festival, growing a vibrant local swing community
François - Dancer | Instructor |
Discovered West Coast Swing in 2015 and won his division at the French Open the same year—at just 13 years old. He has since competed internationally while teaching across France, all while pursuing his medical studies. 🎶
Together, Dina and François occasionally join forces to teach and perform, bringing experience, creativity, and joy to every class.
