The Oncology Nursing Society promotes nursing education for professionals practicing in all oncology settings.
About this Event

This is an Oncology Nursing sponsored educational event that you will recieve continuing education credits. This is the 9th year we are offering this event and we know you will have fun and leave having learned something new to take back to your practice. The topics of this event will include: Oncologic Emergencies Part I & Part II, Cancer and Sexuality, Hazardous Waste & Oncology,& finally the keynote speaker will provide us some laughs and perhaps some tears as she discusses the oncology nurses role and her impact on the oncology patient experience.

About our speakers:

Karen Stilwell, MSN CNS, RN has been an Oncology RN for close to 30 years and works as a Nurse Navigator. She will present Oncologic Emergencies Part I & Part II.

Byra Barsky, PhD will discuss Cancer & Sexuality and new horizons.

Seth Eisenber, ADN, BMTC, RN will review USP 800 & Hazardous Waste standards in Oncology Nursing.

Nancy Norton is our Keynote Speaker. She has presented for many groups including Oncology groups providing a humoristic approach to the care Oncology Nurses give to their patients every day.

About the Classroom: temperature may vary so we recommend dressing in layers.

Breakfast and lunch will be included And our very own musician Alicia and her Ukelele Band, U-Love will join us for lunch.

Raffles will happen throughout the event so expect to have fun!!

Pharmaceutical vender fair will provide the most up to date information for your nursing practice.
