Nao Katafuchi is an electronic musician who creates his own world of dark romantic
wave.
Growing up in the suburb of Tokyo in the 1980's, where the growth of hi-tech
industry was years ahead from the rest of the world, influenced what would later
become his retro-futuristic trademark sound.
He relocated to New York City's Lower East Side in the early 90s, where he started
working as an audio engineer for recording production companies; slowly forming his
own music project aside.
After years of experimenting with different projects and scenes, Nao finally found a
niche of musically kindred spirits at the Wierd Record's weekly party, where he
made his debut performance as Nao Katafuchi. Deeply involved in the thriving
minimal synth scene of the City – together with local acts such as Xeno &
Oaklander, Martial Canterel, Epee Du Bois, Figure Study and Led Er Est – he
eventually met Willie Burns of WT Records, who released his first EP, Yumegoto, in
2012.
Follwing a few small European tours, Nao moved his home base to Germany in the
late 2015, and released his first full length album Émergence from Nadanna /
Anna Logue Records. He’s continuing performing in Europe and, and shared the
bill with some iconic bands such as ChameleonsVox, Rational Youth, Psyche,
Attrition and Parade Ground. In the autumn of 2019 he released his second
album Stalhgrau from a partnership of 3 synth music dedicated labels Kernkrach,
TONN Recordings and Castle Records.
On the production side, he helped the reissuing of the records of Japanese obscure
artists from the 80’s, Tomo Akikawabaya (Minimal Wave 2015 & Mecanica 2024),
Nihon No Wave (Mecanica 2018). He also has co-produced a Japanese primitive
synth wave artist Mojo Beatnik (Kernkrach 2022).

Duo féminin Darkwave /Rock composé de Delphine (Synthés) et
Stéphanie Peel (Chant & Guitare). Sombre, dense, lancinante
et hypnotique, sa musique prenante associe l’électronique et
l’électrique, derrière une voix parfois proche de
celle de Skeletal Family ou Siouxsie.
Mélodies entêtantes, chant magnétique, synthés enveloppants et
rythmes accrocheurs composent un paysage sonore envoûtant et
excitant.
Leurs explorations sonores ont donné vie à un premier EP éponyme en avril 2023. Un second opus est actuellement en
préparation. Tous les morceaux sont mixés par Franck
Amendola de Corpus Delicti.

🖤VESPER SHADE🖤

VESPER SHADE est un groupe français Post-punk / Coldwave créé en mai 2024 par :
• Didier MOCQ (Guitariste - Auteur Compositeur – multi-instrumentiste)
• Gilles BOYER (Chanteur – Auteur Compositeur - multi-instrumentiste)
Né dans l’ombre tiède des néons et des nuits urbaines, Vesper Shade explore les recoins où la mélancolie rencontre
l’impulsion froide des machines. Porté par des guitares éthérées signées Didier, des nappes synthétiques glacées et des
rythmes minimalistes, le groupe façonne une coldwave moderne, héritière des années 80 mais résolument tournée vers
l’avenir.
La voix de Gilles, tantôt grave tantôt incantatoire, déroule des récits de solitude, de lumière fragile et de lutte intérieure,
comme des fragments de journal nocturne.
Sur scène, le duo est rejoint par le jeu de basse live de Vincent SIMON, qui apporte une intensité organique et une
profondeur pulsée aux compositions. Le trio en live porte ainsi la musique de Vesper Shade vers une dimension plus
physique : un espace suspendu, vibrant entre urgence et contemplation, où chaque titre se transforme en rituel lumineux
dans la pénombre.
Entre mélodies glacées, guitares spectrales et basse hypnotique, Vesper Shade s’impose comme une formation singulière de
la scène coldwave contemporaine, élégante, crépusculaire et profondément humaine.
