About this Event
Are babies sleeping enough? Are they eating well?
These are the two biggest concerns for new parents—and for nannies caring for little ones every day.
You’ll learn how to confidently support families with newborns - six months, respond to common challenges, and create routines that truly work in real life.
We’ll cover:
- Why babies sleep differently
- How to create safe sleeping environments and healthy sleep routines
- Feeding options explained: breast, bottle, or both
- Feeding hygiene and best practices
- Paced feeding and establishing feeding routines
- The link between feeding and sleep
- Understanding and managing reflux
Whether you’re at the beginning of your career or an experienced nanny, this workshop will give you practical tools, confidence, and clarity to better support families.
Meet Your Trainer: Wiebke
Wiebke is a highly experienced Maternity Practitioner and Postnatal Doula with a strong teaching background and over 30 years of international experience supporting newborns, children, and the families who care for them. Throughout her career, she has helped countless parents navigate the postpartum period with confidence, calm, and compassion.
Since 2014, Wiebke has been delivering specialised workshops for nannies who want to deepen their knowledge of newborn and baby care and move confidently into maternity nannying. In 2020, she expanded her work online by creating a comprehensive training on the fourth trimester for both expectant parents and nannies.
Wiebke’s philosophy is simple and powerful:
A great childcare professional is a baby listener — not a baby whisperer.
Her approach focuses on understanding babies’ cues and creating baby- and family-friendly routines that respect each family’s unique needs, values, and lifestyle.
In her nanny workshops, Wiebke supports caregivers not only in offering the highest standard of baby care, but also in navigating the real-life challenges of working in private households — with professionalism, confidence, and empathy.
