East Meets West in Jazz & Pop – a unique musical extravaganza featuring WAAPA and Nanjing University of the Arts! Celebrate diversity and friendship with contemporary classics by Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, and popular Chinese songs, reimagined through jazz and pop collaborations.
Features collaborations between staff from WAAPA and NUA Jazz faculties including, Jamie Oehlers (sax), Shihai Li (sax) and Ken Cao (trombone) and Contemporary Music faculties including Dandan Zhan (voice), Matt Allen (voice), Alira Wilson (voice), and others.
This project is enabled via a grant from the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations.
