Join us in raising awareness and ending stigma by walking along the Neptune Festival parade route with our decorated float! Mental health matters.
At NAMI (The National Alliance on Mental Illness) Coastal Virginia, we know this is true. The events of the last few years have challenged many of us, and these challenges have taught us that mental health is a necessity, not a luxury. Now, more than ever, we must continue to tirelessly advocate for the mental health services and support needed in our communities and in our state.
NAMIWalks is the largest mental health awareness and fundraising effort in America. NAMIWalks brings together thousands of individuals and supporters to celebrate mental illness recovery, honor those who have lost their lives to mental illness, combat stigma and promote awareness. Proceeds support the educational courses, workshops, Helpline support, curated resources, advocacy initiatives and support groups that NAMI Coastal Virginia provides to individuals with mental illnesses and their families. These offerings are at NO cost to our local communities, made possible through fundraising campaigns like NAMIWalks.
