Dear Community Partners, Family Members, Friends and Allies,We are pleased to invite you to the "Together Against Mental Health Stigma" Community Resource Fair and Fun, a collaborative event hosted in partnership between NAMI Contra Costa County and Mental Health Connections.
This community gathering is dedicated to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and connecting individuals with valuable mental health resources and support services. We invite you to be part of this meaningful day of community, education, and support.
This family-friendly, mental health awareness, stigma reduction event will include a light stroll for health, live music, complimentary meal and snacks, Guest speakers, interactive vendors/booths, arts and crafts, outdoor games, and announcing 2026 Mental Health Change Agent Appreciation Awardees and a dove release in memory of our loved ones gone too soon. Community partners will join us in sharing behavioral health wellness resources which will include information about the various county programs and how they support those impacted by mental/behavioral Illness.
Please see the event flyer for additional details, including the annual Change Agent Appreciation Awards ceremony to be nominated, announced, and awarded for May Mental Health Awareness Month. We hope you will join us as we come together to support mental health awareness and strengthen our community. Of course we'll have a Photo Booth!

Submit Your 2026 Change Agent Appreciation Award Nominations for Individuals/and other Entities Making an Extraordinary Difference in Improving Mental Health Outcomes
It will be another special event as many NAMI Contra Costa and Mental Health Connections community members, family and friends gather for recognition of their outstanding contribution in improving mental health outcomes for our residents of Contra Costa County. Awardees will have an opportunity to be acknowledged on May 13, 2026 at our collaborative Mental Health Awareness event: "Together Against Mental Health Stigma" Honoring May as Mental Health Awareness Month in Todos Santos Plaza.
