Join us for a soul-nourishing evening of creativity, self-discovery, and community. In this Thoughtful Thursday session, we’ll explore the magic of names—the stories they hold, the whispers of our past, and the seeds of our future.

What to Expect

• Playful Exploration: Warm up with engaging activities that celebrate the beauty of names. Whether you’re “Alice,” “Zephyr,” or somewhere in between, we’ll honor the uniqueness of each name.
• Compassionate Connection: Reflect on your relationship with yourself and others. How do you view your name? What does it evoke? Let curiosity guide you.
• Creative Expression: Dive into art-making using materials such as ribbon, felt, tissue paper, cardboard, magazine images, markers, pastels, and colored pencils. Transform your name into a visual masterpiece that reflects your strengths and passions.
• Nature’s Touch: Feel free to bring found objects—shells, sticks, rocks, leaves, photos, mementos—that resonate with you. Let them contribute to the personality of your name design.
• Sharing Circle: If you choose, share your artwork in a small group or dyad. Validate the positive relationship you’re exploring with yourself and the impact of this expressive experience.

Facilitator | Patricia Isis, Ph.D., LMHC-QS, ATR-BC, ATCS
A seasoned art therapist passionate about nurturing well-being through creativity. Dr. Patricia Isis holds a Ph.D. in expressive therapies with an emphasis on art therapy. She is a licensed mental health counselor in Florida, a registered board-certified art therapist, and a credentialed supervisor for art therapists and mental health counseling interns. She is a certified mindful self-compassion teacher and the author of The Mindful Doodle Book: 75 Creative Exercises to Help You Live in the Moment. Location Details
This activity takes place exclusively at Vizcaya Village, the estate’s historic farm village, and does not include access to the Main House or gardens.

Thoughtful Thursday Wellness Series
This series is designed to create opportunities for community and wellness building through various wellness practices. Workshop sessions feature expressive art therapy modalities, cooking demonstrations, and art-making activities. Thoughtful Thursdays will take place at Vizcaya Village each Thursday during our Night Market.

Accessibility Information
To promote inclusion for all, Vizcaya ensures that all community programs, after-hour events, and weekend activities are physically accessible to all visitors. While not all areas of the estate are wheelchair accessible, community programs are purposefully located in areas without stairs or that can be accessed via a ramp.
