- There will be 3 segments during the entire event.

The afternoon begins outdoors (4-4:45 pm) with the Nigerian Anthem & a flag dedication, the Black National Anthem, a welcome/opening speech, a youth presentation on Nigerian history, tradition, and values, and a live performance of traditional Nigerian Yoruba BATA drum and dance.

- The middle session (4:45-6 pm) features our keynote speech addressing stigma, health equity, and our collective wellness by Leilani Michelle-Jones. Santa Clara Valley Healthcare Executive Director, Office of Health Equity & Improvement.

Following the keynote address, guests are encouraged to move indoors for the community watch party of the documentary Afrobeats The Back Story (40 minutes). A 10mins talkback session and a 15mins Q & A session will follow. Afrobeats music has only just begun its global influence and we are committed to creating more awareness of the power this music genre holds for social change and for bringing communities together.

For youth and families who opt for something else, feel free to have your little ones engage with our Nigerian Language Talking Books or check out our imagination wall and leave your thoughts and ideas there. Also, you can participate and support our youth at the youth-led workshop on mental healthcare and music. There are options at the activity table for family fun activities for all ages, coloring with fun facts on Nigeria and popular Nigerian games such as LUDO, Snakes & Ladders, How Nigerian Are You Trivia, and WHOT card games to enhance the cultural experience. It will never be a dull moment!

- While you can choose to keep enjoying the activities and games we have for you, the 3rd segment (6-8 pm) ushers in another live performance by Afrobeats Artists, DJ Music, Dance & Conversations all before we wrap up.
