Jessica M. Salazar MBA, CLU®, ChFC®, CLTC®, Managing Partner at Northwestern Mutual. a 4th generation entrepreneur. She was the first in her family to graduate both high school and college. She is a Stetson University Alumni, with a Bachelors Degree in Finance and Management (2004) and a Masters Degree in Business Administration and Management (2021). During college, she worked at a hedge fund specializing in investments. In 2005, shortly after graduating, she joined Northwestern Mutual in Virginia Beach as a Financial Representative. Her hard-work, dedication to serving others, and commitment to maximizing her potential is the result of many accolades she has earned throughout the years. Jessica was the first female to achieve Pacesetter First 40 and Second 60 in her Virginia Beach office. She quickly obtained her ChFC®, CLU®, and CLTC® designations and holds her Series, 7, 66, 9, 10 & 26. She is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table, is a Lives Leaders’ Summit qualifier, and was recognized by Inside Business as a Top 40 under 40 in 2011. In 2012, she was chosen to be a Managing Director, where she led her office in its significant growth of advisors, which made a positive impact on the Virginia Beach community.

In 2016, In 2016, Jessica transferred to Austin, Texas to pursue her dream of becoming a Managing Partner. She became the Chief Development Officer of the Austin | San Antonio Network Office and an Assistant Regional Director. There she continued to make an remarkable impact on her clients, peers, and community. She started a movement called #LeadLikeAGirl as an extension to her dear friend, Cindy Arocho’s, #PlanLikeAGirl movement. The #PlanLikeAGirl movement was founded by Cindy Arocho at Northwestern Mutual to empower women in financial services. Jessica's extension focused on encouraging women, in a male dominated industry, that although females may lead differently, they lead just as well. She is passionate about promoting female empowerment, increasing diversity in the workplace, and growing leaders and advisors to impact the marketplace. In 2019, Jessica, and her husband of 13 years, Jeff, decided to return to their Florida roots with their three children Austin (21 ), Jaxson (6 , and Julianna (3 ). On November 1, 2019, Jessica achieved her dream and officially took over the Managing Partner position in Jacksonville, Florida. She is one of very few female Managing Partners out of 76 representing Northwestern Mutual nationwide.

Furthermore, she is the first female Managing Partner in her territory (the largest at Northwestern Mutual), which consists of Northern Florida - including the Panhandle, Savannah, Georgia, and Hilton Head, South Carolina. While Jessica dedicates so much of her time to her career, she is a firm believer in the work-life blend and values personal time with family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, working out, going to the beach, giving back to her community, and traveling the world. She lives her life and leads her firm with similar values in mind: Family, Fun, Integrity, Personal Development, and Service. Jessica's story exemplifies what confidence, perseverance, and hard work can do for women both personally and professionally. She now lives on her dream of empowering and developing others and making a difference in her community with her new, extended family, the Florida Georgia Line agency.
