Be ready to witness the "Festival of all Festivals" and to get a first-hand experience of the culture and lifestyle of 17 Naga Tribes in this December. Nagaland, which is popularly known as the land of festivals where every tribe celebrate their festival with pomp and rich with colors and traditions. This time, lets explore the hidden gems of North east and pack your bags to this land of Nagas.

DAY 1 : DIMAPUR- KOHIMA (2 HRS)
Welcome to Nagaland, the land of festivals. You are greeted by your Guide at Dimapur Airport and
travel towards Kohima, Capital of Nagaland. Enroute we shall come across markets where locals are
selling vegetables, fruits and other indigenous products, which are produced locally. As you reach
nearer to Kohima, temperature will slowly descend. On reaching Kohima, you shall check in to your
Hotel and get freshen up, dinner will be from your hotel premises and call it a day.

DAY 2: HORNBILL FESTIVAL - Opening ceremony
Today we start our day by visiting some local market where varieties of eatable insects and crawling
worms, organic vegetables, local spices, etc are sold by the locals, you will get a fair idea of the local
food habits of Nagas and then further we proceed to World War II cemetery which is neatly well
maintained. After that we head to Kisama, to see the Grand Opening of the 25th Anniversary of
Hornbill Festival. As you are entering the Amphitheatre you will see the local cultural troops dressed
in their best traditional attires preparing for the festival in full swing. You will see the different
Morungs of the different Naga tribes surrounding the Amphitheatre offering a Visual treat to
visitors. If you are ahead of time take a stroll around the village and see the difference in architecture
of each Tribe’s house and difference in cultural and attires and dialects too. Each tribe has its own
unique dialect which shows that Nagas truly lives in Unity in Diversity and peacefully coexists as one.
Rest of the day we are going to spend in Hornbill festival filled with songs and dances, and people
in full festive mood with colorful attires. We shall also see shops where you can pick up souvenirs
to take home for your dear ones. We then shall have lunch at the festival where you can taste local
food from one of the many stalls run by the locals. We shall visit Phesama village in the afternoon
where traditional houses, morungs, etc., interact with some local people and learn more about their
cultures. Later on, after a fun filled day we head back to kohima for overnight stay.

DAY 3: HORNBILL FESTIVAL
Today we shall start our day by exploring Kigwema village and get some idea about the village life
where we’ll come across huge wood carvings in front of rich men’s houses. Kigwema played host to
the Japanese during the Great Battle of WW 2, the village is set up in a very beautiful and good view
location. After which we shall spent the rest of our day in the hornbill festival. Lunch at Hornbill
festival. We shall be looking forward to see more fascinating and ethnic culture of the Nagas. We
shall participate in the night carnival at Kohima where we shall see people selling different items
from Christmas decorations to chicken barbeque. One of the most interesting aspect of the carnival
is the whole street being filled and flooded with people taking their family and friends for fun and
dinner

DAY 4 : KOHIMA- KHONOMA- KOHIMA
Today after breakfast, we shall drive to Khonoma village, explore the village which is 20 km from
Kohima. Khonoma village is the first Green Village of the country. This village has taken an odd step
by declaring 27 sq kms of its territory as "Khonoma Nature Conservation and Tragopan Sacntuary"
(KNCTS). At Khonoma you will find Culture, History and Nature intact together. Later drive back to
Kohima

DAY 5 : KOHIMA - DIMAPUR (74 kms/2½ HRS)
We journey down to Dimapur to connect your flight for onward destination waving goodbye to the
mystic land of the Naga hills.

1.Will I get any companions to travel from my city?
Of course, once you register and pay, you will get added to the group of traveller who is in for this trip. There you can see
other people who travelling from your city
2. Do we need to carry our bags everywhere?
A. No. During the stay at each places you can keep the bag at your room.
3. Can I take my kid along with me in this trip?
A. Yes

4. Can I pay the total amount as installments?
A. Yes, after an advance payment of 5000rs you can pay monthly a small amount towards the balance payment as following

Know before you go: -
1. Pick up from the airport/railway station is at 02:00PM. Drop off on Day 5 is at 11:00AM. Beyond these timings, please inform office to rearrange their pick up.
2. Do not consume alcohol or any other intoxicants during the tour.
3. The vehicle is not at your disposal and will be available only on an itinerary basis.
4. No bill will be reimbursed against any missed service/facility.
5. Dimpaour flight tickets are comparatively high but if you can book flights to Guwahati and take train to reach Dimapur, will be more economically convenient
6. Stay will be in 2/3 home stays which is in 200-400mtr in distance. Your buddy will be staying with one of these place and will be available on call for assistance after or before the day trip.
7. Since the festival ground is crowded place and the network connectivity is poor in this place, please follow up the guidelines of the buddy for evening pick up from the festival place.
Cancellation Policy

1. For cancellations done prior to the 30 days or more of the date of departure, the initial deposit amount or 25% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation charges.
2. For cancellations done between 29 days to 20 days prior to the date of departure, 100% cancellation charges will apply and you will receive no refunds.
3. No refund of money is admissible on cancellations due to any type of contingencies or unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to natural calamities, lockdowns, any covid induced scenarios or otherwise
