About this Event
About the National African Student Association Conference
From February 21st to 22nd, 2025, the (NAfSA) will be hosting about 400 members at the Atlanta University Center for our National Conference. The theme of the conference, "Charting the Course: Youth at the Helm of Africa's Future," emphasizes that young Africans should not only seek a seat at the table but lead the conversations shaping Africa’s future. Our generation has the skills, insights, and capabilities to drive meaningful change, and we believe it is time for youth voices to take the forefront in decision-making spaces. This conference is dedicated to empowering young Africans to recognize and harness their potential to lead transformative conversations, influence policy, and spearhead initiatives that impact Africa and its global standing. We aim to inspire a generation of youth who are not merely participants but true leaders at the table, shaping Africa’s destiny with boldness and vision.
The conference will include panel discussions, workshops, career opportunities, cultural and competitive events and more with influential policy makers and leaders from governmental, nonprofit and business organizations invited.
About National African Student Association, Inc.(www.nationalafsa.org):
Since inception, NAfSA has represented a growing coalition of African student groups at 60+ university campuses across the USA representing over 4000 members. These are composed of international African youth and first-generation Americans with African descent parents. By uniting, NAfSA members can be empowered to become leaders for the progress of the African continent and their communities. The opportunities and resources NAfSA works to provide will ensure they excel either socially, culturally, academically, and/or professionally. We pride ourselves with how intentional we are in our events and initiatives, where we focus on 5 core tenets: chapter development, career development, cultural awareness, transition assistance, and community service.
