📜 About the Legend:

Late Ustad Ghulam Rasul Khan Saheb, an eminent figure of the Farrukhabad Gharana, was born in Panipat, Haryana, into a deeply musical family. His father, a respected sarangi player, nurtured his early fascination with music. His unique journey evolved with equal mastery in vocal and tabla, spanning across genres like Ghazal and Thumri.

He was mentored in his early years by his uncle, the legendary Ustad Nazir Khan Panipatwale, and later received formal tabla training under the guidance of Late Ustad Amir Hussain Khan Saheb.

Throughout his career, Ustadji remained a torchbearer of traditional Indian classical music — not just performing, but preserving and passing on the essence of tabla playing to future generations.
