About this Event

NEEF's National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest single-day volunteer event for public lands. Established in 1994 and held annually on the fourth Saturday in September, this celebration brings out thousands of volunteers to help restore and improve public lands around the country.

Help Casey Trees as we care for young trees at Fort Dupont on Saturday, September 24th as a part of this impactful nation-wide day of service. Your help with weeding, mulching and watering these vulnerable trees will give them a leg up in becoming an important part of our growing tree canopy.

You provide the volunteers, we provide all the necessary tools and supplies to care for trees. Participants will receive a short, hands-on training on site. After learning the tools and techniques, participants will split up into groups and begin caring for trees throughout the park.

Register now! The week before this event, we will send a logistics and directions email with detailed information about how to get to the site. You will receive this email ONLY if you are signed-up for this planting.

Who should attend?

Anyone! Open to the general public, you do not need any prior experience to join us and on-site training will be provided.
