Paul Ellis is a celebrated community leader and advocate, former University of Pittsburgh adjunct professor, and the visionary founder behind one of Pittsburgh’s most important cultural institutions, the August Wilson House. He has received numerous high-profile civic honors, including an official proclamation naming August 13, 2022 as “Paul Ellis Day” in Pittsburgh, and was further recognized as Preservationist of the Year (2022).
