Naada Taranga

Naada Taranga is a rare all instrumental Carnatic kutcheri featuring four accomplished vidwans in conversation through music.

Vid. Nadashri Prasanna Kumar Ballal performs on the Carnatic mandolin, continuing the musical tradition made popular by the legendary U. Srinivas. Vid. S. P. Ananthapadmanabha performs on the violin and represents the M. S. Gopalakrishnan bani, having trained under Mysore R. Dayakar and Padmashri A. Kanyakumari. Vid. Ganakalashree A. S. N. Swamy performs on the mridangam and Vid. B. J. Kiran Kumar performs on the khanjira, bringing rhythmic brilliance to the concert.

The performance presents a complete Carnatic kutcheri featuring varnam, kritis, raga alapana, niraval, kalpana swaras, tani avartanam and mangalam. The concert duration is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes including a short interval.
