mōcean Named Official Energy Drink and Anchor Sponsor of Boston's Sweater Weather Fest

mōcean®, the taurine-free functional energy drink made with organic green tea caffeine and botanicals, today announced it has become the official energy drink and an anchor sponsor of Sweater Weather Fest, a free, all-ages film and music festival taking place Saturday, Oct. 17, from 2 to 11 p.m. on Boston City Hall Plaza.

Billed as the place "where fall meets film," Sweater Weather Fest is produced by Sweater Weather Films with support from the Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture. The festival received a $50,000 City Hall Plaza Engagement Grant from the City of Boston, a program that funds free cultural events on the plaza. It is produced under the fiscal sponsorship of Filmmakers Collaborative, a Massachusetts 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and partner support goes directly toward keeping the day free and open to everyone.

The festival is designed to open doors for Boston's creative community. Throughout the afternoon and evening, the plaza will host:

• Five industry panels where established filmmakers and production professionals share how they built their careers
• Industry access tables with studios, unions, production companies and state film commissions open for conversation
• Free professional headshots, available to download the same day
• Youth filmmaking presented by Filmmakers Collaborative, including a stop-motion station where kids shoot their own shorts
• A vertical short film contest open to anyone with a phone, with the top five screened on the plaza and the winner awarded live
• Local food vendors, with priority given to businesses from Boston's underserved communities, plus fall pop-ups, a DJ and a 21+ beer and wine garden

As the sun sets, the plaza becomes an open-air theater for a free feature film screening. The event can host up to 4,000 attendees.

For mōcean, the partnership is personal. Co-founder and Chief Brand Officer Christian Vieira worked as a producer in film, television and audio before launching the brand with his father, and the festival's focus on removing barriers for emerging creatives reflects the company's own path. Tony Vieira brings a 36-year beverage career, including brewing and quality leadership at Anheuser-Busch, Coors and Mark Anthony Brewing, where he helped develop White Claw. He holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management and a bachelor's degree in biology from Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire.
