110 éves a magyar animációHa létezik animációs film, amelynek a Müpában bérelt helye van, akkor az a Háry János. Az 1983-ban készült film ugyan a háromórás daljátékot mindössze egy órára rövidíti, ám így is vérbeli összművészeti produkcióként vonult be a történelembe: Kodály zenéjét Ferencsik János vezényli, az alkotás valódi néptáncosok bevonásával készült, kísérletezve közelít a népi kultúrához, és az animációs műfaj legendái állnak mögötte. Sikere csak a János Vitézéhez mérhető, amiben - érdemei mellett - nagy szerepe volt annak is, hogy ez volt az első, kifejezetten televízió számára készült egész estés animáció. A filmklub meghívott vendége Fülöp József animációsfilm-producer, a MOME volt rektora.

110 Years of Hungarian Animation
If there is one animation film that has a special place at Müpa Budapest, it has to be Háry János. The 1983 film shortens the famous Hungarian three-hour folk opera by a full hour, though it also made history as a multi-arts production - János Ferencsik conducts the music of Kodály, while the film also featured genuine folk dancers in its production, takes an experimental approach to folk culture, and was created by true legends of Hungarian animation. Its success can only compare to that of Johnny Corncob (János vitéz), which - in addition to being a superb film - was also an inspiration for Háry János becoming the first feature-length animation in Hungary made especially for television. The film club’s special guest is the animation film producer and former rector at MOME, József Fülöp.
