It takes so little to wipe away a painting. Most of the time there is nothing, different forms of nothing. Then suddenly something comes of it, something emerges. Sometimes quickly, sometimes little by little, and I have to draw it out, often only as a glimpse. But I have to accept that’s what I’m getting. Small clues. This makes me stay with it, I understand that painting can drive you mad. There’s always something left behind, there’s always the impatience of wanting to keep going. That’s why I love painting: It keeps you occupied.Welcome!
