Projeto decano do rock alternativo português, os Mão Morta têm procurado fintar a longevidade tornando-a combustível para a sua permanente irreverência e originalidade. Serpenteando a sua discografia, o grupo farol de Braga tem ainda criado pontes e cooperações que nos vão dando inesperadas aventuras dentro e fora da música, tais como o musical Chão para as Comédias do Minho, a coreografia No Fim Era o Frio de Inês Jacques ou a colaboração com o Remix Ensemble para o centenário do Theatro Circo. Não seria estranho, então, que à convocatória Esfera, arquitetada por André Tentúgal e Henrique Amaro, tenham querido novamente ouvir algo novo de si próprios ao dialogar com Pedro Sousa: um saxofonista, caso raríssimo no amplo percurso dos Mão Morta. O pequeno disco Tricot, que acolheu três temas retirados da sessão de gravação, vê-se agora em palco, em estreia ao vivo absoluta, dando-nos um mundo novo em expansão e mostrando-nos – uma vez mais! – músicos apaixonados pelo risco e, sobretudo, pela euforia do recomeço.

An authority on Portuguese alternative rock, Mão Morta have tried to feint longevity, turning it into fuel for their permanent irreverence and originality. Meandering from their discography, the band from Braga have also created bridges and collaborations that give us unexpected adventures in and out of music, such as the musical Chão for Comédias do Minho, the choreography No Fim Era o Frio by Inês Jacques, or the collaboration with the Remix Ensemble for the centenary of Theatro Circo. It would not be strange then, that to answer the call of Esfera, designed by André Tentúgal and Henrique Amaro, they searched for something new within themselves and consulted with Pedro Sousa: a saxophonist, which is an extremely rare case in the extensive career of Mão Morta. The short album Tricot, which features three songs taken from the recording session, will be performed on stage live for the very first time, giving us a new expanding world and showing us – once again – musicians who are passionate about risk and, above all, the euphoria of a new beginning.
