About this Event
MyWorld is a five-year, £30m programme led by the University of Bristol and funded by the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Strength in Places Fund, which will act as a catalyst for innovation in the West of England’s world class creative technology sector.
This MyWorld briefing event, in partnership with Digital Catapult, will mark the launch of the first Challenge Call for the programme; titled Catalysts and Connectors: Tools for the Creative Industries. The Challenge Call offers funding of up to £50,000 and a 16-week acceleration programme to explore innovative tooling solutions relating to the creation, delivery and assessment of experiences.
Applicants can apply with either their own industry challenges or to address specific challenges developed in partnership with industry partner, NVIDIA. The event will bring together CreaTech and creative industry communities, including developers, creative studios, creative businesses, startups and SME’s and will provide an opportunity to meet with representatives from the MyWorld project, Digital Catapult, Industry Partner, NVIDIA and wider programme partners.
The event will be an opportunity to understand the Challenge Call, how to apply and explore the call themes with NVIDIA and Digital Catapult to support discussion around industry challenges and opportunities, and barriers the call addresses.
This event is open to anyone from industry and startups looking to apply to the Challenge Call. The MyWorld Challenge Call is delivered by Digital Catapult. It will open on Monday 23 January, and close at 23:59 on Monday 13 March 2023. Agenda:

2:00pm - Event start. There will be a number of presentations and a short interactive workshop.

There will be a separate webinar event on Friday 27th January 1-2pm for those who are unable to attend in person.
