Houston, we need your help!
Sometimes the people who spend their lives serving our community are the ones who need us the most.
The fundraiser, Myti Strong: A Community Workout Benefit, is being hosted by HTX FightCamp on Saturday, August 15, to support the owner of Myti Burger and his family.
About a year and a half ago, the owner suffered a heart attack. Since then, he has committed himself to improving his health by working out every day at HTX FightCamp and has lost more than 30 pounds.
A few weeks ago, one of the stents placed during his original heart attack unexpectedly failed, causing him to go into cardiac arrest. He was revived after losing his pulse twice and spent two weeks on a ventilator while doctors fought to save his life.
During that incredibly difficult time, his family faced even more challenges. His wife lost her job while he was hospitalized, and their children postponed leaving for college so they could stay home and help keep their family business, Myti Burger, running. While they were working to keep the restaurant open, the business was also robbed.
Despite everything, this family continues to fight forward.
Now it’s our turn to show up for them.
The HTX FightCamp community, along with local businesses, has come together to organize this fundraiser to help ease some of the financial burden while he focuses on healing.
Join us for a day of community boxing and indoor cycling classes, local vendors, raffle prizes donated by local businesses, and amazing food from Myti Burger. Every class registration, raffle ticket, meal purchased, and donation goes toward helping this family through an incredibly difficult season.
