In the second of Ross Cooper of Rosca Horsemanship's 'Winter Workshop' series, Ross will be running 'Myths, Mistakes and Corrections' on Monday 9th December at Derby College Equestrian Centre.In his second of the three-part Winter workshop series, 'Myths, Mistakes and Corrections', Ross will discuss a wide range of falsehoods and misunderstandings passed down from yard to yard, shining light on the realities and facts of life with horses.
In this workshop we will cover:
- Myths
Unpick common-place myths that inhibit your communication with your horse
- Mistakes
Learn about the top mistakes we make as riders and handler mistakes, why these occur and..
- Corrections
What positively applied corrections we can make in our approach, handling and riding to enhance our relationship and welfare standards!
During our time together, Ross will replace fiction with fact, and how to correct and improve aspects of our handling and riding for improved communication and relationships with our horses.
This will include the multiple emotional, behavioural and physical aspects that are indicative of dysfunction, the link between the three, and most importantly, how to help you recognise them and changes you can make for improved welfare and communication.
This workshop will challenge both common misconceptions about horse behaviour and how a horse should be ridden.
The evening will follow Ross's known relaxed and informative teaching style, include a presentation talk, encouraged constructive discussion throughout followed by some interactive learning experiences!
