Join Lin of Wood Song Mushrooms for an exploration into the mysterious mushroom known as Fly Agaric. The red and white speckled cap of the Amanita muscaria is one of the most visually recognizable mushrooms in the world. Emanating from ancient shamanic rituals, Solstice traditions, Alice in Wonderland, power-ups for Mario and the core of Cottage Core, this mushroom’s impact is deep. The more we discover the curious-er it gets!!
Lin Conover, owner of Wood Song Mushrooms, LLC, first began learning about mushrooms through a deep dive into soil health and composting methods. With an appreciation for the integral role fungus has for our living planet, she began the process of identifying wild species and growing cultivated mushrooms. Wood Song Mushrooms now provides fresh mushrooms and related products, in addition to educational programs, nature/foraging walks and hands-on experiences.
