MythoFutuRiddim

MythoFutuRiddim is an annual arts and cultural festival featuring emerging artists who explore mythology, Afrofuturism and riddim/music. Our next exhibition is a six-week residency at Winter Street Studios in Houston, powered by Fresh Arts⇥.

Over the six-week duration of the residency, we’ll have an art-making event for kids, a book launch, an open mic, an artists dialogue as well as musical performances. Additionally, week-to-week, during the six-week duration of the exhibition, we’ll adjust the center of the exhibition space to act as a rotating focal point for one singular artist/project. This type of exhibition model creates a dynamic activation of the space and will offer various ways to interact with the art, individual artists and the overall festival.

The exhibition will run from July 8 - August 14 2022.

July 8 - 6pm - 8pm - Opening Reception featuring DJ Good Grief

July 9 - 10am - 5pm - MythoFutuRiddim is for the Kids! + Second Saturdays at Sawyer Yards/Winter Street
