After being on tour all summer, Mica Sun and Samara Jade debut their show of story and song in WNC!
This duo of wandering bards weaves a tale for all ages guaranteed to stir the waters of the heart and satisfy the most discerning of mythic palettes.
The central story “The Floating Kingdom” is an hour-long musical, theatrical fable of journey, consequence, and return.

...Oral storytelling tradition dances with seasoned leadership in music and voice, weaving puppetry with musical theater, classical fairy tale, and song circle — exploring themes of patriarchy, freedom, grief, aging, and the repair of our world.
The story is bookended with songs, music, and poetry from long-time touring songstress Samara Jade and Asheville area performing artist Mica Sun.
Jade & Sun toured "The Floating Kingdom" show across the country and back 2024 July through September — and were in Santa Fe, NM when Hurricane Helene hit their hometown. They decided to extend their tour and played 6 more shows as benefit concerts for disaster relief... and are excited to finally share what they've been sharing everywhere else in their home town!
