MYSTERY & MASTERY OF SPIRALS
Spiral is one of the key aspects in Contact Improvisation and in movement in general, it can be found in any living being – from our double helix DNA to our patterns, movement’s formation and structural building.
In this workshop we will learn to harness this structure, to better understand it and to build with it a stronger, more fluid way of movement. We will discover new hidden pathways that lay dormant in our body, that once opens will transform our dance into higher levels.
Spirals are one of the strongest movement forms in our body and it allows us to grow from the center outward and from the ground up. Spirals are the way upward from the ground into the sky – so lets Spiral our way to heaven.
This workshop is intended for beginners and also for advanced practitioners and people who have experience in Contact Improvisation.
TOM GOLDHAND
I am a performance artist, dancer and a dance teacher in the field of Dance & Contact Improvisation.
After finishing my studies in Israel I moved to Amsterdam and co-founded with 5 other performance artists the group – Mono Collective that performs free and anchored Dance pieces.
In the last years I have been performing and giving workshops on the techniques of Improvisation in Dance and Contact.
I have been teaching contact and dance for over 15 years all around the world, on internationally acknowledged festivals and dance training.
All of the above are just words that are basically saying: Dance is my passion and I love to share it with everyone.

MYSTERIUM UND MEISTERSCHAFT DER SPIRALBEWEGUNG
Die Spirale ist einer der Schlüsselaspekte in der Contact Improvisation und in der Bewegung im Allgemeinen. Sie ist in jedem Lebewesen zu finden – von unserer Doppelhelix-DNA bis hin zu unseren Mustern, Bewegungsabläufen und dem Aufbau von Strukturen.
In diesem Workshop werden wir lernen, uns diese Struktur zunutze zu machen, sie besser zu verstehen und mit ihr eine stärkere, flüssigere Art der Bewegung aufzubauen. Wir werden neue verborgene Pfade entdecken, die in unserem Körper schlummern und die, sobald sie geöffnet sind, unseren Tanz in höhere Ebenen transformieren werden.
Spiralen sind eine der stärksten Bewegungsformen in unserem Körper und ermöglichen es uns, vom Zentrum nach außen und von unten nach oben zu wachsen. Spiralen sind der Weg nach oben, vom Boden in den Himmel – also lass uns den Weg in den Himmel spiralisieren.
Dieser Workshop richtet sich an Anfänger, aber auch an Fortgeschrittene und Menschen mit Erfahrung in Contact Improvisation.

Ich bin Performancekünstler, Tänzer und Tanzpädagoge im Bereich Dance & Contact Improvisation. Nach Abschluss meines Studiums in Israel zog ich nach Amsterdam und gründete mit 5 anderen Performancekünstlern die Gruppe Mono Collective, die freie und verankerte Tanzstücke aufführt. In den letzten Jahren habe ich mit Techniken der Improvisation in Tanz und Kontakt gespielt und Workshops gegeben. Ich unterrichte seit über 15 Jahren Kontakt und Tanz auf der ganzen Welt, auf international anerkannten Festivals und Tanzausbildungen.
All das sind nur Worte, die im Grunde sagen: Tanz ist meine Leidenschaft und ich liebe es, sie mit allen zu teilen.
