The Mysterious Old Radio Listening Society celebrates the Great Minnesota Get-Together with two original audio dramas performed in the style of a classic radio broadcast, including commercials, music, and live sound effects. It’s an “entertaining and creepy homage to an era gone by” (Cherry and Spoon) brought to life by veteran Twin Cities performers Shanan Custer, Joshua English Scrimshaw, Tim Uren and Eric Webster “using their voices to paint a picture so vivid that if you close your eyes you can see the action in your mind's eye.” (Stages of Minnesota) THE SHOWS: “The Minnesota Iceman” from Truth Be Told: Minnesota. 1968. People flock to local fairs and carnivals to catch a glimpse of the mysterious Minnesota Iceman - is it the frozen remains of the missing link or something far more sinister? A “true story” re-imagined as a spine-chilling radio drama by Shanan Custer. “All’s Love and War at the State Fair” from The Minnesota Goodbye: The state fair is finally open after last year's outbreak of polio and private detective Raymond Lake has been hired to protect a pig who has been receiving death threats! The second installment of Tim Uren’s regional radio noir, The Minnesota Goodbye.

The Mysterious Old Radio Listening Society performed their first staged old-time radio recreation in 2016 at the Bryant-Lake Bowl Theater in Minneapolis. Since then, they have appeared at the Minnesota Fringe Festival, Daleko Arts in New Prague, and the Wabasha Street Caves in Saint Paul. Their recreations were also featured monthly from 2017 to 2019 at the James J. Hill Center and from 2020 to 2022 at Park Square Theater in Saint Paul. Currently, the MORLS can be seen regularly at Crooners Supper Club and the Bryant-Lake Bowl theater.
