Conservatorium composition students Kylie Cheah and Oscar Jenkins-Wing will have their brand-new percussion quartets premiered by MYRAID.
Head of Percussion Brent Miller, along with Conservatorium alumni Aditya Bhat and Honours student Felix Gilmour, will give the premiere of Elliott Gyger's percussion trio, from his monumental set of new pieces written this year with support from the Australia Council, titled The Idea of Perfection, after the novel of the same name by Kate Grenville.
MYRIAD, joined by Head of Voice Stephen Grant as narrator, will perform Mark Pollard's new dramatic work for narrator and percussion, 'The Ghost of Siglufjördur, Episode 3: The Haunting’, drawn from his five-part musical mini-series exploring Icelandic myths, presented alongside his original film, Duplex.
