About this Event
Join Myl, Ella Frank, and Siobhan Bodrug for a night of live music at Tapestry!
Endearingly called “female Noah Kahan with something darker” by crying, drunk girls at bars, alt-folk singer/songwriter, Myl, crafts sonic stories based on real life experiences about complicated relationships with family, love and self. She combines theme-driven lyrics with misleadingly sweet melodies and an emotionally cathartic delivery to share relatable struggles that often leave a bittersweet or downright salty “aftertaste” in the ears and mind of the audience.
Ella Frank is an Indie-Folk Singer/Songwriter and acoustic guitarist. Her grounded voice comes through in both her ethereal melodies and her vulnerable lyrics. Inspired by Folk artists like Adrienne Lenker and Alt/Indie Bands like FIZZ, Ella’s music is a soft bed at the end of a long day and a sparkling sunray through your kitchen window. Ella is a recent graduate from Seneca’s Independent Performance and Songwriting program, and has played shows in Toronto at Tranzac Club, Film Cafe, Handlebar, and Free Times Cafe.
Mimi is a young singer-songwriter living in Toronto. She was born into a family of artists and grew up going to a plethora of theater, concerts, and dance. Her music is dynamic and honest, reminiscent of many 70s folk artists. Mimi lived in Sweden and Montreal before moving back to Toronto to attend Seneca College’s Songwriting and Performance program.
Siobhan Bodrug is a singer-songwriter/recording artist from Toronto ON. Her music being a seamless blend of Indie Pop and R&B means that her soulful vocals defy her 20 years on the planet. Siobhan has wowed audiences in many venues including opening for indie mainstays Stars and Juno award-winners Dizzy at The Golden Hour Festival, the iconic Rockwood Music Hall in New York City, the legendary El Mocambo, and County Pop. She was selected as a Honey Jam artist for 2022, and was selected to play the Summerfolk Festival this summer.
