Mykki Blanco se po deseti letech vrací do smíchovské továrny, kde 10. října 2026 představí své nové album Café Paradiso.

Když Mykki Blanco dostal otázku, kterou ze svých dřívějších verzí na novém albu znovu oživí, odpověděl jednoznačně: „Žádnou.“ Na albu Café Paradiso prochází Mykki Blanco znovuzrozením a místo teatrálních póz a person, které dominovaly jeho předchozím nahrávkám, přichází něco mnohem niternějšího a přesnějšího. Deska čerpá z rozmanitých, všedních, a přesto velmi osobních situací umělcova života na cestách. Otřesné bufety na Wall Street, pití piva a hraní kulečníku v Belleville, dlouhé vysedávání v čajovnách v Tangeru…
Album, které vychází 4. září 2026, je soundtrackem člověka, který se toulá městem a pohybuje se prostory, kde být sám nemusí nutně znamenat být osamělý.
„Café Paradiso is a record for city kids. It’s heavily inspired by New York, but the New York of now, which isn’t parochial but transatlantic. Café Paradiso is also global. It’s a series of vignettes that speak to the lives lived inside the concrete jungle.”

Mykki Blanco is returning to the Factory after ten years, presenting his new album Café Paradiso on October 10, 2026.
“If there is one thing I know how to do, it’s how to get the most out of life. Yeah, sure, not everything is perfect. You fuck up. You make mistakes. But hopefully, you’re achieving more than you’re fucking up. Overall, I would say I do well, milking life for all it’s got.”
When asked which earlier versions of himself appear here, Blanco is unequivocal: “None.” On Café Paradiso, Mykki Blanco is completely reborn, trading the persona-driven theatrics of his previous releases for something more interior and exacting. The album draws on diverse, everyday, yet deeply personal situations from the artist’s life on the road. Shabby diners on Wall Street, drinking beer and playing pool in Belleville, long afternoons spent in tea houses in Tangier…
The album, which will be released on September 4th, 2026, is the soundtrack of a man who wanders through the city and moves through spaces where being alone doesn’t necessarily mean being lonely.
