Join us for the inaugural Myaamia Cultural Fest on August 29 to celebrate the heritage and culture of Fort Wayne’s Indigenous people, the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma!
Come play traditional Myaamia (Miami) games, learn about the Tribe’s history, and shop handmade Myaamia artwork. Myaamia artists will offer live demonstrations and lead hands-on activities where visitors can explore art forms such as beadwork, basketry, and finger weaving. Visitors can even create and take home their own finger-woven keychain!
The event is free and open to all ages and will take place from 10 AM–4 PM at the corner of Barr and Berry Street, between the YLNI Farmers Market and the Taste of the Arts festival.
