My own Synth from Scratch! DIY electronic sound experiments beginner workshop 1/18 @Daybreak

Using a breadboard, a couple of CMOS logic chips and an assortment of switches, knobs and sensors, we will discover the amazing world of analogue circuitry. With a hands on approach, and only a minimum of theory, we will get to know basic electronic parts and their function. We will make squarewave oscillators, let them modulate each other and try out all the different ways to influence their sound. Don't worry if you don't really understand what these words mean. For this workshop, no knowledge about electronics or music is required. Everything you need is an open mind!
We will see how simple it is to make all kinds of electronic sounds with just a few basic components. For example we will discover how we can make sounds with the help of our own bodies. Or sounds that depend on light: A regular flashlight can suddenly become a powerful expressive instrument. Even fruits can influence our sounds. With just a few parts there is a whole world of endless sonic possibilities in your hand and this workshop wants to encourage to get creative and explore those possibilities yourself. Each student will have their unique instrument in the end, which they can take home and continue to experiment.
The teacher Ruben Rübe is an artist musician and instrument builder specialized in analogue electronics and based in Taiwan. Besides building instruments, sound installations and performances, he also regularly teaches and shares his knowledge and passion about electronics and sound. , visiting institutions such as Taiwan Art University or Shi Chien University.
Language: English, but possible to ask for help in Mandarin.

要做電子音樂一定要用電腦，學很複雜的軟體對吧？不一定！這場工作坊會學到怎麼可以跟一些基本的電子零件發出聲音。除了這些，更酷的是用水果、手電筒、透過劃劃甚至是你的身體都拿來變樂器！德國創意聲音藝術家阿滷老師，將用全中文帶你大玩這場聲音光影遊戲。
電阻、電容、IC、旋鈕，LED？沒概念，OK的！此工作坊不求任何的經驗，目標是教給參與者可以自己發揮做聲音光影實驗的工具，自由做出想像的聲音光影實驗，並應用在創作中。這場工作坊是用麵包板的方式，不用焊接。結束之後，參加者將會獲得自己創造的電子樂器，可以在現場一起即興演出，並可將樂器帶回家，繼續研發疊加技法。
工作坊老師－阿滷，一位來自德國的實驗音樂家，樂器設計師跟藝術家。他的創作領從表演，制造樂器到展覽都有．臺南人可能有看過他今年在麻豆總爺的展覽＂牡蠣龐克＂．他在台灣已經教過好幾場類似的課程，像在臺灣藝術大學或者實踐大學．
上課語言：這次會用英文上課，但是老師會講中文。可以用中文問問題。
