The first Saturday of summer belongs to distortion. My Own Summer is Ding Dong Lounge’s tribute to Deftones and the alt‑metal wave that defined a generation. On Saturday 6 December.... the very first Saturday of summer, we’re turning the main bar into a time machine: back to burned CDs, mall‑goth nights, and distortion bleeding through bedroom walls.DJs Drew Bang and guests take over with a DJ‑only set of alt‑metal, nu‑metal, shoegaze, and post‑hardcore. No live bands, just pure chaos from behind the decks.
Expect brutal grooves and ethereal textures from:
- Deftones (My Own Summer, Change, Digital Bath, Knife Prty)
-Alt‑metal & post‑hardcore — A Perfect Circle, Chevelle, Taproot, Glassjaw, Helmet
- Nu‑metal crossover — Linkin Park, Korn, Slipknot, Staind, System of a Down
- Shoegaze & darkwave textures — Loathe, Sleep Token, Nothing, Slowdive
- Grunge/alt‑rock anchors — Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains
The food menu runs all night, with the kitchen open till close.
Happy Hour drink specials from 7–8PM and again from 12–1AM.
Note: Upstairs will host a separate live music event. My Own Summer is strictly a DJ‑only experience in the main bar, built for dancing, screaming, and sweating under low ceilings and loud speakers.
