MY NEW BAND BELIEVE
My New Band Believe is the new project from Cameron Picton, formerly of youthful iconoclasts Black Midi. And it’s very much a project more than a band with a constantly shifting consistency of size, members, instrumentation, arrangements, and more. Debut album, “Terror”, is a monstrously ambitious statement of intent, bordering on the unhinged. Featuring rollicking, rolling, semi-chaotic and fractured songs of indeterminate structure, the album is an open invitation to dive in explore. Co-produced by ¼ of caroline, and featuring performance from the entire band plus guests including members of Shovel Dance Collective, Modern Nature, and Kiran Leonard, there’s going to be something very familiar to anyone who’s been frequenting CD&G events.
