For the second movie in the Persianate Cinema Series we will be screening My Favourite Cake , a tender, quietly subversive Iranian tragicomedy that follows Mahin, a 70-year-old widow in Tehran. Craving companionship, she breaks her solitary routine and boldly invites a single retired taxi driver, Faramarz, to her home.
