My Day My Way - The Future of Adult Social Care Market Shaping Session

Wigan Council is launching “My Day My Way”, a new engagement approach to better understand the everyday experiences and aspirations of people with learning disabilities, autism and other care and support needs across the Borough. By listening to individuals, families, carers, and service providers, we aim to gather meaningful insights that can help shape future opportunities, remove barriers, and support people to continue to live connected, fulfilling lives.

As part of this engagement piece, we want to understand how day services can continue to evolve—building on strengths, supporting independence, and reflecting what matters most to residents. We recognise that day services play a vital role in supporting adults to learn new skills, stay active, and pursue ambitions, while also offering valuable respite for families.

We see the passion, creativity and dedication across local providers and look forward to building on these strengths as we shape the future together.

Facilitated by Pathwasys Associates, this session will build on the themes and insights from engaging with families and indivdiduals and offering a valuable opportunity for providers to contribute to this work.
