About this Event
This interactive program is designed to equip youth and teens with the knowledge, language, and confidence to understand healthy dating behaviors, recognize appropriate boundaries, and clearly identify what consent looks like in real-life situations.
Through guided discussion, age-appropriate scenarios, and practical tools, participants will learn how to:
- Understand the meaning of consent and why it must be clear, mutual, ongoing, and respected
- Identify personal boundaries—emotional, physical, digital, and social
- Practice assertive communication, including how to say no without guilt or fear
- Recognize red flags and unhealthy behaviors in dating and peer relationships
- Understand that silence, pressure, manipulation, or fear are not consent
- Build self-awareness and confidence to seek help and speak up when boundaries are crossed
The program emphasizes prevention, empowerment, and safety, reinforcing that every young person has the right to bodily autonomy, respect, and emotional security. Participants are reminded that consent can be withdrawn at any time and that no one ever owes another person access to their body, time, or space.
This session also provides trusted resources and encourages open, healthy conversations between youth, caregivers, educators, and community leaders—helping to create safer environments where young people feel supported, informed, and protected.
