Join us for a traditional tour of Triberg city in the Black Forest. Triberg is the home of the original Cuckoo clocks. Triberg is also home to the Black Forest Cake (Kirschetorte). This sponge chocolate cake layered with cherries and whipped cream is a highlight of a visit to Germany's Black Forest, and our personal favorite cafe has a great one--Cafe Adler. A mile down the road sits the world's largest Cuckoo clock that goes off every hour and has a small museum inside. Enjoy a short hike to it or through the beautiful waterfalls included in your museum ticket. Then, transfer over to Rottweil.
Rottweil is the oldest town in Baden-Württemberg. History, art, and nature attract visitors year round. Of course, you might also know it as the home of the Rottweiler dog breed.
Rottweil shows signs of settlement dating back to 2,000 BC, and around 73 AD that the Romans built a military base in what is now Rottweil's Old Town area. Enjoy scenic small village feels, biergartens, and a relaxed summer day after an adventurous morning!
