About this Event
Join us for our continued celebration of 20 years of community building in Mount Vernon Triangle as MVT CID closes out its 20th anniversary year with the opening of Prather's Plaza at the corner of 4-1/2 & K Streets NW! Brought about by two cycles of DC Office of Planning "Streets for People" grant funding, Prather's Plaza is the final piece of infrastructure improvements – that include the MVT Photo Walk, Prather's Alley wayfinding, MVT Mobile Kiosks, Movies in Milian, and Verdant Orb – that help bridge the 400 Blocks of I Street & K Street NW together to create a more cohesive and welcoming public realm. We invite you to celebrate the opening of Prather's Plaza as well as the installation of Verdant Orb and the third MVT Photo Walk Exhibit, "Mount Vernon Triangle: Community in Detail," at our opening reception on Friday, September 27 from 4-6pm at Prather's Plaza and HEMPHILL (434 K Street NW). After, be sure to celebrate of Dine + Art All Night in MVT by taking in the new artwork on display, and visiting participating restaurants.
